Endorsement From A Dollar Store Handbag Designer

Dear Handbag Expert,

Barclay Brown has invented simple devices that eliminate the high cost of shipping handbags, book bags and luggage and the huge paper waste of stuffing your bags for display.

DHL, UPS and FEDEX have been joined by the United States Post Office.  Now they all charge by weight and by cubic measure.   An envelope no longer has merely a cost by weight of contents. An 8 x 10 inch manila envelope of one ounce costs $1.13 to ship compared to 42 cents for the standard #10 business envelope.

We estimate the cost to move a cubic foot of soft bags, with stuffing paper inside, is $3.63 per cubic foot from the bag factory to the individual retail store. (Our calculations are shown in our "Packaging and Logistics Program for Soft Bags" prepared at the request of several retailers.)

The alternative -- hand-stuffing in the U.S. -- is shown on our letter, “We have a less costly soft bag plan for you and your company.”(Page 3) We list the usual operations required for high volume hand–stuffing production. Production managers allow a cost of five to ten cents per operation.  Larger bags cost more to stuff. You must realize that hand stuffing in the U.S. costs a lot.

Barclay Brown has shipped millions of our Auto-Expanders™ on time and to the high standards of numerous bag manufacturers and retailers. We produce our devices faster than the production time of most handbags.

Save a lot of money and the environment at the same time. Brown is the new Green. Please call or email us with your questions and comments.
